About Us

Designed to turn heads. Crafted for real life.

Our limited run shoes and boots are crafted in small family-owned factories in the Italian countryside where the heritage of shoemaking is an art form. We combine these traditional skills with modern technologies so you (and we!) can look good and get shit done.

Made In Italy

Tuscan wine, wood-fired pizza, exotic sports cars, and Ross & Snow shoes…

The best is born in Italy.

Our footwear is handcrafted in small family workshops throughout Italy, the home of luxury footwear.

We sweat every last stitch, tack, and leather grain pattern so you’re blown away when your shoes arrive.

Finding Family-Owned Factories

Our limited run shoes and boots are meticulously crafted in small family-owned factories in Italy where heritage shoemaking is an art form.

Do you know how many legacy vineyards we had to skip to make sure we could inspect every Italian factory to find the best one? You can’t imagine the sacrifice.

Still, when you walk into a factory that’s been owned by the same family for five generations, missing out on the perfect Chianti is well worth it.

So when we say family-owned, we mean we partner with shoemakers still continuing the legacy their great-grandparents started, using their accumulated knowledge to help blend form and function.

Oh, and you know those super expensive Italian luxury designer brands? Rhymes with Gucci? Yeah, the guys in our tannery make those too in their spare time when they’re finished making Ross & Snow.

Sourcing the Best Material

When you find the best shoemakers in the world, you can’t just give them scraps to work with. When you work with the best, you want to give them the best.

What do you get when you put the best materials in the hands of the world’s best craftsmen?

 You get Ross & Snow.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

We’ve seen enough fast fashion to last us a lifetime. Personally, we have no interest in that nonsense.

But our commitment to sustainability goes far beyond just creating an exceptional product that will last decades. No, that just barely meets bare minimum for us and our mission.

We don’t want to get bogged down in the technical details, but if you’ll allow us to toot our own horn here: we’ve achieved the environmental and production certifications EMAS ISO I4001:2004, ISO 9001:2008, Leather from Italy UNI 11239:2007 and TFashion.

I’m sorry, what do all those numbers mean?

We knew you were going to ask that…

Basically, we produce consistently awesome quality footwear with leather from tanneries that aggressively treat their waste water to ensure nothing dangerous or chemical ever makes its way to the water table. Our workers are cared for. All of our uppers are byproducts of the food industry, and our animals given ample space and fresh air.

Crafting the Perfect Fit

When we did group projects, we were the ones who took over and did the whole thing. Sorry, not sorry. But that’s because we love details and we’re not satisfied with second-rate.

That’s why we design our own shoe lasts. So if you’re wondering how we’re able to craft a shoe that gives you the flattering look you can’t find anywhere else: that’s our secret. Just don’t tell anyone else, ok?

Combine custom-made lasts with rich, vegetable-tanned full grain calf-leather, and you get footwear that looks luxurious right out of the box and patina beautifully with time so like a fine Tuscan wine, your Ross & Snow shoes get better with age.

Our waterproof footwear features a Storm Injected welt construction, which means you could literally stand in a puddle for hours and your feet wouldn’t get wet. We don’t recommend it because it sounds super boring, but the point is that you could.

We’re proud of everything we do to ensure Ross & Snow products give a whole lot more than they take. As such, we partner with the following organizations:
